Today, I’m asking for your input.
In order to serve my readers better, I want to know when you normally read my blog. This way, I can time the notifications of new posts to the time when people are most likely to read! In other words, I want to make it easier and more convenient to mosey on over here.
In the comments below, please note the time you normally read my posts. Be sure to note your time zone. If you want to be really nice to me, you can translate your local time to Eastern US time.
If you only read on certain days, I would also be interested in that. For instance, would you rather have posts on the weekends and less on the weekdays? I don’t expect to write more than 5 posts per week, but I am open to changing the times and days they post. Likewise, is five posts a week too much? Would you rather have less posts?
And if you can think of any other suggestions to improve the blog, I’m all ears! Once this bar exam madness is over (next Friday), I’m going to start expanding/improving the blog!
I would greatly appreciate your input! If you want to share something more privately, feel free to email me at crazyjewishconvert on the gmail server.

I didn't think blogging was so complicated! I just read whenever you have something posted. If you post, I read. I you don't post, I don't read. pretty simple š

Time zones are little complicated. But I read your blog at 5 p.m. my local time (CEST)so as I count it properly it's 11 a. m. in New York.

I'm with Elle, I check, and if you post, I read. I enjoy reading what you post, so I do always hope for something new! However, I do always check in the morning for a new post, and if nothing, I will check back later in the day.

I often check at 7:30 am eastern time.

usually around 7-9pm EST, sometimes in the morning 8am EST
Otherwise – pretty much, you post – I read… Time does not matter

I usually read in the evening EST time. I enjoy your posts but can't keep up š Less posts with more discussion..that's my vote š

I usually read the blog around 9:15am (EST) every morning.

I check in daily, usually in the mornings EST (before noon) or in the afternoons (between 1-5 p.m.).

I read your blog every Sunday morning (I HATE newspapers!), and ad lib several evenings during the week after work (rather than downing a martini or something similar). I enjoy perusing your talented (I mean it) writings, and besides Iām a big fan of religious conversion to Judaism (welcome to the tribe ā again).

Regardless of when your readers read, just have something posted so they have what to read whenever that is. technically it should just be there. you can't expect to get people to read your blog all at the same time. people have different schedules. btw. i'm surprised you'd actually ask this question, the reason being in Judaism the philosophy is about accepting people who have different ways of doing things rather than expecting everyone to do things the same.

oh i just wanted to say i think if i'm not mistaken that it was you who wrote in one of your older blog posts that it takes a few months to get a Beis Din together in order to get 3 people in the same place etc. i asked a Rabbi who is close to the NY Beis Din in regards to this and he said if a candidate is ready for conversion, they can have a Beis Din ready in a few hours (so definitely not days/ months).

In comparison to all the other blogs of conversion candidates and those within the process of becoming a Gerus candidate I applaud your openness and willingness to be so vocal.
Something many might not be comfortable in doing so. I usually read this blog during study breaks.

I use google reader and whenever you post something I read it when I have the time. The more interesting the title the sooner I find the time. Usually it is in the morning, but often several mornings after you post it. I really like your separate 'subscribe via email' link – all too often on other blogs I have to make some random comment just to be able to subscribe.

I read daily, usually in the evenings, in the central time zone. That's the beauty of a blog though, its not like television where we all have to tune in at the same time. Please don't cut posts from your week (obviously outside of having a life), I really enjoy them and would hate to see fewer!

For me, it's pretty random, although never on shabbat. Generally, I guess it'd be once a week on a random weekday sometime between 11am and 8pm eastern time.

I check every day, at some point, but not at a specific time — since I'm not Jewish/Shomer Shabbat, I even usually check Saturday mornings and then have a 'd'oh!' moment as I realise there obviously won't be anything! lol
As far as other improvements — as much as I LOVE your halacha in a nutshell, conversion process posts etc, I sometimes feel I would love to read more about your personal journey. For example, I look at your 'about' section and wonder what "Jewishly Affiliated" means to you, or I read "I definitely never expected that I would become observant", and I wonder what specific reasons you had for that and what changed your mind. That kind of thing.
Obviously, not everyone is comfortable sharing things like that online, and if that's the reason for not posting it, I'm sorry to have brought it up — but if you just didn't think of those things, or didn't think anybody would be interested — well, I'm definitely interested!

Hi! I like your blog. I read it every few days, in the afternoon or evening your (EST) time. I hope that despite your reservations you will soon post a blog on being black and Jewish.

P.S. If you could also write about 'yesher ha ra' or Satan, that would be interesting too…..
