1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website, scheduling a consultation, purchasing a resource, attending a support circle, or otherwise engaging with Building a Jewish Life or Kochava (below referred to as “BAJL”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.
2. Nature of Services
Building a Jewish Life provides coaching, consulting, educational resources, and community support specifically tailored for Jewish conversion candidates, recent converts, and those building Jewish lives. Coaching and consulting services are not therapy, legal advice, financial advice, or rabbinic guidance.
3. Eligibility
To use this website or our services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old or have written and verbally confirmed over video conferencing parental/guardian consent.
- Provide accurate and truthful information when engaging with our services.
- Use our website and services in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Not a Rabbinic Authority
BAJL do not act as rabbis, poseks, or halachic authorities. Clients are encouraged to consult with qualified rabbis for religious guidance.
5. Prices and Payment
(1) All prices are stated in United States Dollars ($ USD).
(2) Payment is made via the payment methods offered on the site (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, credit card, instant bank transfer).
(3) Digital products and services will only be provided after full payment has been received.
All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or arranged. See Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details.
6. Coaching & Consulting
It is your responsibility to attend the sessions as agreed and during such sessions to participate fully and communicate openly and honestly.
You agree to conduct yourself in a reasonable and responsible manner at all times during sessions and not to act in a manner which may cause offence, distress, or alarm.
In the event you have any concerns as to the delivery of the services or your participation in them in any way, you agree to notify BAJL of such concerns by email as soon as possible. BAJL agrees that upon receipt of notification of such concerns that they will use all reasonable efforts to work with you to resolve your concerns.
All coaching and consulting sessions require advance payment and scheduling. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment are non-refundable. See Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details. Exceptions may be granted at the sole discretion of Building a Jewish Life.
As part of coaching or a program, you may be required to review and make decisions concerning your personal and home life, business and career, finances, lifestyle, education and development, and health and wellness, and that any such reviews, subsequent decisions, implementation, and action will be your sole responsibility.
You accept and understand that you are solely responsible for making decisions and taking appropriate action as a result of any matters reviewed or discussed during the coaching and programs, and that BAJL shall not be liable for your failure to make decisions, put into action plans or strategy, or for any results whether direct or indirect arising out of your participation in the coaching or programs.
You understand and accept that engagement in the coaching and programs and acceptance of services is not a substitute for counseling or other therapy services. In the event that the Client is currently undergoing medical or other professional help concerning their mental health, then you should inform your practitioner of the existence of this work and the extent of the services being provided and inform BAJL if appropriate and relevant.
7. Resource Use & Intellectual Property
All content on this site, including but not limited to blog posts, resources, graphics, and program materials, is the intellectual property of Building a Jewish Life unless otherwise noted. So are all resources made for membership or 1:1 programs. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
Any digital or printable resources purchased or downloaded from Building a Jewish Life are for personal use only. Redistribution, resale, or modification for commercial or noncommercial use without explicit written permission is prohibited.
- You may not: Copy, redistribute, or modify any content without our prior written consent.
- You may: Use our content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our services are offered “as-is” and “as-available.” We make no guarantees regarding the outcomes or accuracy of our services or content.

10. Community Spaces
Participation in support circles and any associated community spaces requires respectful, appropriate behavior. Building a Jewish Life reserves the right to remove any participant who disrupts the community, engages in harassment, or violates community guidelines.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Building a Jewish Life is not liable for:

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New York State, USA.
The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Nassau County, New York, USA, provided this is legally permissible.
