The Passover guide I needed my first year didn’t exist – so years later, I made one.
When I was learning Pesach, I did what most people do. I pieced it together from scattered sources, trying to figure out the Seder, chametz, and kitchen prep all at once.
But no one explained how it actually fits together.
If you want a calmer, more grounded way to approach Passover, I created Passover Without Panic. It’s designed to help you build the holiday piece by piece, instead of trying to figure everything out at once.

The Passover guide I wish I had my first year didn’t exist, so years later, I made one.
I converted to Judaism, and my first year I did what a lot of people do.
I tried to piece it together from books, random articles on websites, Facebook groups and whoever would answer my questions on Twitter.
And honestly, that’s overwhelming, and incredibly inefficient. Why we keep reinventing the wheel is beyond me.
Nobody explained the big picture.
One website told me how to Kasher a kitchen. Another explained the Seder. A third talked about Chametz.
But none of these resources showed me how it all fit together in real life.
What do you actually do first?
What matters most to someone new to Passover? What’s something that can wait until next year?
What does a realistic Passover look like if you’ve never done it before?
So instead of feeling grounded and happy and like this was a meaningful holiday, I spent the entire time terrified that I was doing something wrong. And I was, I’m sure.
Because mistakes are common, and that’s okay.
What I eventually realized is that Passover isn’t meant to be learned all at once. It is not a one year project.
It’s a system that Jewish families build over years and decades.
But when you’re new to it, you’re just seeing the finished product without all the years of learning behind it.
And worse, you’re probably doing it without friends and family on speed dial to help you.
So that’s why I created Passover Without Panic. It’s the guide I wish I had my first year. A clear roadmap for preparing for Passover.
Understanding the rituals, handling the kitchen and food, and building a Passover practice step by step, wherever you are this year.
